Member Layouts and Pictures

This section of the site is dedicated to NMRA members in Canada and their layouts as well as pictures of NMRA members in action at meets, shows, and conventions.   To have a link to your layout  added, please E-mail us at webmanager@nmracanada.ca   You must be a member of the NMRA to have a link added.

The only thing we ask is that you keep us up to date if the site moves and that the site be appropriate for model railroaders of all ages.

We appreciate pictures as well, but if you plan on sending quite a few, please make them as small as possible as web page graphics do not need to be hi-resolution.

THIS SECTION IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION - THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE

Andrew Chisholm's Intercolonial Railway: New Glasgow and Pictou Landing Branch This layout is very much under construction.  It was started a year ago and progress happens as Andrew has the time.  It is based on CN in Stellarton Nova Scotia in 1978.
Mike Hamer's Boston and Maine Blog Mike Hamer's Boston and Maine Layout in Ottawa was featured in an annual issue of Model Railroader's "Great Model Railroads" a few years ago and it is a gem.  Check out the blog and join the conversation with Mike.  Mike is an active member of the SLD of the NMRA.
Michel Boucher's Delaware and Hudson Layout Michel's Layout is popular amongst Ottawa area operators because of the effort and detail he puts into the sessions.  Michel hosts 2 regular operating sessions a month as well as many special sessions.  Michel is an active member of the SLD of the NMRA.
Will Annand's CVR in N Scale The Credit Valley Railway.  Will's layout encompasses the Credit Valley Railway's branchline from Cheltenham to Orangeville circa 1880-1900. It is located in a 10'x10' room and runs on DCC.

John Kanakos CNJWS II Layout in London CNJWS II is the second version of my home layout-- Canadian National Junction West Sub. I run CN (with some CP and TH & B) in the 1950's transition era. Location is west Toronto in the “Junction Area” (Annette, Keele, Dundas) Many structures are scratchbuild or kit-bashed, the layout is fully scenicked and all is heavily weathered (as time allows!). I have over 225 feet of mainline with a 24" minimum radius and eight switching areas. I am a member of a local round robin group and am usually open Monday nights for operating, worknights etc. Call ahead to visit. John Kanakos (519) 660-1844 London, Ontario.

Brian Clogg's Cariboo Western Railway The Cariboo Western Railroad is a freelanced model railroad. That means no prototype ever existed. The route follows the PGE/BCRAIL from North Vancouver to Anderson and an imaginary extension to Ashcroft. Some parts are modeled to closely follow the prototype and other parts are creative fiction however all modeling will attempt to reproduce the geology and ecosystem accurately.
